From Cluttered to Confident: How I Built a Digital Business That Supports My Life (and How You Can Too)

The Dream I Sat On for Six Years

Before launching my business, I spent six years watching others grow theirs while I sat frozen by fear, overthinking everything. I knew I wanted to start something, but I kept telling myself:

• “What if I pick the wrong niche?”

• “What if no one buys?”

• “What will people think?”

Sound familiar?

Everything changed when a mentor gave me the push I needed and invited me to help bring her speaking business online. I learned the ropes of online marketing while building her systems behind the scenes.

After four years, I knew it was time to do the same for myself.

Two weeks before the world shut down in 2020, I quit my job and officially launched Banish Business Clutter.

And I haven’t looked back.

Why I Started with “Business Clutter”

I named my business Banish Business Clutter because people always came to me for digital organization. I saw how clutter—mental, digital, physical—was keeping brilliant people stuck.

They were overwhelmed, spinning in indecision, and unsure how to move forward.

So I created my first launch: a 5-day challenge to help people organize their digital life. It wasn’t perfect (I hadn’t even finished building the course when I launched), but 95 people said yes and that validation changed everything.

Since then, I’ve helped hundreds of entrepreneurs get out of their own way and into motion. Because when you're organized and clear, you can finally make confident decisions that move you farther, faster.

Done Is Better Than Perfect

I could have spent six months building my first course. Instead, I launched it with nothing but an outline and a $97 offer. I taught it live, week by week, with my first 95 students walking through the journey with me.

That course, The Digital Clutter Cure, still sells today as a polished $397 evergreen offer.

But it never would have existed if I waited until it was “ready.”

You don’t need it all figured out to start. You just need a reason to begin.

You have to launch to learn.

My Journey to $1M in Revenue (And What Finally Created Consistency)

When I first launched my business, I was hustling hard... live launching my offers every 4 months just to keep things moving. For the first 2 to 3 years, that strategy worked, but...

While each launch brought a surge of income, between launches I found myself back at square one... staring at a $0 revenue month and wondering how to keep the momentum going. It felt like I was constantly riding the revenue roller coaster: exciting highs followed by anxious dips.

That’s when I knew something had to change.

I realized that I needed to create more sustainable, scalable offers—ones that could bring in consistent revenue even when I wasn’t actively launching.

So I started leaning into two key strategies:

• Recurring revenue through my membership, IGNITE

• Affiliate marketing, promoting tools I use and love (like Kajabi!)

And that decision changed everything.

My revenue sources in 2020 led to a feast-and-famine cycle. High months followed by low months... where I felt I had nothing to "count on".

In 2024, my revenue sources led to consistent $20K then $30K months. Now I only offer 1:1 offers when I choose and the majority of my revenue comes from recurring sources.

Thanks to the changes I've made in the last few years, I hit $1M in revenue in time for my 5th anniversary! It was a milestone to celebrate and I'm so grateful!!

What I Do Today

While digital organization is still something I love to teach, I’ve discovered my true passion: helping people turn their ideas into income using digital products like courses, memberships, workshops, and coaching programs.

Today, I help online entrepreneurs:

• Clarify what they want to sell

• Create irresistible offers that serve real needs

• Launch those offers to real people (even before they’re built!)

• Build recurring revenue and community-driven businesses that provide freedom and flexibility

Because for me, this isn’t just about making money. It’s about building a life you want to live, creating a legacy, and impacting the lives of others.

I’ve been able to retire my husband from a 30-year IT career, pay for our daughter’s dream wedding, and move to Orlando to be near our first grandchild. But, I've also been able to impact the lives of my students and their students. 🤯
